Although not known on the wider circuit of speakers, Christopher has been invited to address various groups. Some at large venues (at one event, attended by a mayor, he formed part of a procession accompanied by a brass band – he hopes he managed to keep vaguely in step with the music!), others at formal gatherings and at dinners as well as private functions.

Obviously while staying within the world he knows best, he greatly enjoys addressing young people who have the ambition to enter the film and television world. Questions and answers are always encouraged.

In late 2003, Christopher had much pleasure in talking to the audience at the Graham Greene Festival, when he was able to discuss his working association with the novelist and also their subsequent friendship.
